Accounting Coordinator – Chilliwack

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to join our dynamic team. This is a high volume, fast paced position requiring attention to detail and accuracy as well as effective time management skills.

You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks for Triton Transport Ltd. and Triton Truck and Trailer Repair.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not inclusive):

  • Follow and complete all month end procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Act as a key member of the accounting team, working closely with the management team in terms of accounts payable duties for the shop.
  • Reconciling weekly cash outs and creating monthly sales report for the shop.
  • Shop inventory control and adjusting entries.
  • Timesheet reconciliation for shop payroll.
  • Owner operator monthly transport statements.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the transportation and service shop industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Experience in, or ability to gain a strong command of new systems (Axon, Genesis Service Shop, and QuickBooks) would be considered an asset.

Your time management, organization and prioritization skills will assist you in this high volume, fast paced position. Your ability to work well under pressure, communicate effectively and meet deadlines are essential to the role. Shop Foreman – Chilliwack

Our subsidiary, Triton Truck & Trailer Repair, providing full service to our Heavy Haul Fleet and an ever -expanding outside client base is in need of an experienced Shop Foreman for our Chilliwack branch to lead our dynamic team.

Reporting to the shop Manager, Triton Truck &Trailer Repair, you will be responsible for the supervision of shop floor employees and management of the day to day operations of the shop. With half of your shift spent on the shop floor, responsibilities include hands on mechanical work in the areas of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics, engine and transmission repairs, incidental welding operations and managing the 24/7 mobile service truck for remote service and repairs.

To be successful in this role, you will have a Red Seal Journeyman Mechanic qualification and proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics. You will work well under minimal supervision and have the confidence to make independent decisions. Your leadership and mentoring skills are beneficial as you coach and provide guidance to your team.

Strong customer service skills are essential to the role as you build strong relationships with our external client base. Your ability to handle a heavy workload and work effectively with interruptions and changing priorities will make you an asset to the team. You will work closely with the mechanics and shop staff, so your strengths in communication, and teamwork are essential. Knowledge of NSC and FMCSA regulations and WCB Compliance are required. A class 1 or 3 driver’s license is preferred.

Company Driver – Heavy Haul Division, Chilliwack, BC

Triton Transport is a progressive and specialized heavy haul transportation company providing services throughout North America from facilities in Chilliwack, British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta.

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Company Driver who has experience with 7 – 13 Axle trailing configurations. We offer a competitive union wage and a comprehensive benefit package and we recognize the need to balance work and home time.

Working out of our Chilliwack facility, the Company Driver will carry a variety of loads for construction, oil and gas, mining, forestry and manufacturing industries throughout the Pacific Northwest US, AB, BC and SK. We provide our drivers with a modern fleet of trucks and specialized modular trailers. We value our driver’s safety and well being and provide extensive training and compliance measures.

The successful candidate must meet the following essential qualifications and requirements:

  • A Class 1 Driver’s License plus a minimum of three (3) years of related driving experience, preferably in the Heavy Haul Industry
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Safety Code and HOS regulations
  • Knowledge of the types of trucks & trailers that are operated in a heavy haul environment
  • A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of truck & trailer components
  • Knowledge of NSC and FMCSA regulations and WorkSafe compliance
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload and work effectively with interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to use sound judgment and make independent decisions
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to cross the border on a regular basis. A Fast Card is preferred.
